Can Estriol Usage Lead To Yellow And Green Discharge From Vagina Inspite Of Having Reoccurring Yeast Infections?

I've had a hysterectomy 10 yrs ago & very dry ever since. Since moving to warmer client, I have experienced reoccurring yeast infections. My new Dr. Took a culture 3 wks ago ( results negative for both yeast & bacterial) & Put my on estriol. I tried it last night & woke up in night w/ discomfort & today w/ yellow & green discharge. Ii thought this color meant infection but since previously dry didn't get discharge at all. Could this have happened because of the estriol?

Hello,

Green discharge is concerning for possible trichomonias infection. Follow up with ObGyn to get vaginal swab and microscopy done to rule out/confirm the diagnosis.

Hope this answers your query
