Can Duphaston 10mg Be Taken For 40 Days Continuously?
hi, i am now taking Duphaston 10mg due to my heavy menses & severe period pains. My gynae has instructed me to take it twice daily for 40 days continuously. My question is, is it ok to take it continuously since the leaflet attached says that i have to take it only from Day 5 to Day 25 during menstruation? Tq.

HELLO AND WELCOME. I WOULD ADVISE DUPHASTON 10 MG TWICE FROM DAYS 11 TO DAY 25 OF YOUR CYCLE FOR AT LEAST 3 CYCLES.
I WOULDNT RECOMMEND CONTINUOUS TREATMENT FOR 40 DAYS AS THE HORMONAL LEVELS MAY GET DISTURBED. ESP YOU WOULD NEED TO CHECK ESTROGEN LEVELS , N IF DEFICIENT THEN THEY WOULD ALSO NEED TO BE REPLACED.
SO 10 MG BD FROM 11 TO 25 IS THE WAY TO GO.
LET ME KNOW IF U HAVE ANY OTHER QUARY OR COMPLAINT.
