Can Walamycin Be Given To Infant? Have Yellow Liquid Discharge. Red Rashes After Giving Walamycin, Spots On Face
Can i give walamycin to my 6 month old? Paedetric recommended after he passed yellow liuid 4-5 time apart from regular stool. However I noticed that since we started giving it, the kid developed red rashes on skin. Its onthe arm which is an inch size and is somewhat raised. Few small spots are on the face as well. Please suggest
If there is rash on the skin then it could be allergic reaction to the medicine. Antibiotics are indicated in loose motions only if there is blood or mucus in the stool along with fever. Monitor for signs of dehydration. They include 1. Decreased skin turgor 2. Increasing thirst. 3. Sunken eyes. 4. Irritability. 5. Drowsiness. 6. Decreasing passage of urine. Oral rehydration solution or any other solution containing salt and sugar should be given. Probiotics and Zinc prescribed by your doctor will be useful.
