Can Synthroid Be Taken For Throat Pain Near Thyroid?

I have hypothryroid. I was taking synthroid but stop after my hair was thinning after doubling on it due to increase of sweats. My throat hurts in the area of my thyroid. Should i begin back taking synthroid. Its a feeling I never felt before not a sore throat.

I can understand your concern.

You have hypothyroidism. Synthroid is not used for throat pain. It is thyroid supplement drugs. Your thyroid is not producing enough hormones so you need external support. Your hair loss and thinning of hair may be due to hypothyroidism. So you should check your TSH level and take synthroid accordingly. Also go for ultrasound thyroid once to search the cause of pain.
