I have vaginal itching accompanied by yellowish discharge for two months now. My ob prescribed neo-penotran forte for seven days. However on my fourth day I noticed a slight blood so i stopped the suppository. My pap smear showed moderate infection so she prescribed doxicycline (doxin) for 7 days which should be taken twice a day. I finished my meds two weeks now but still i have vaginal itching. I searched the net and read that monistat is effective. Should I self-medicate on this drug? Please tell me what to do. Thanks in advance...
