Can MRI Of Uterus Accurately Determine Uterine Fibroids?
I am 42 and have uterine fibroids. I just had an ultrasound to check them. My results were that I have a fibroid the size of a small orange near my ovary. My doctor now wants me to have an MRI performed. I am scared because I now think it s ovarian cancer. Does the ultrasound accurately identify the mass as a fibroid? Do I need the MRI because the fibroid is so large? I had a uterine ablation about 4 years ago and my fibroids were biopsied and came back negative.
