Can I Take Folic Acid And Vitamin B12 Supplements For WBC Deficiency In Bone Marrow?

i recently had a blood test done and was told that my white cells were a bit deficient in my bone marrow due to alcohol consumption. im a middle aged woman. also that i was low in b-12 and folic acid. how long does this take to turn around? im not drinking anymore.

Welcome to HCM.
You have to take supplements regularly at this age.
Take therapeutic dose of B12,folic acid,calcium and other supplements.
Intramuscular injections of B12,folic acid at regular interval will be helpful.
Also take medicines to prevent osteoporosis if you are towards menopause.
Go for regular check up of blood investigations.
Avoid alcohol,eat good nutritious diet.
Avoid stress.Go for exercise,yoga regularly.
Keep in touch with your doctor.

Hello

I will advise to take intramuscular injection alternate day at least 10 ,and then repeat blood test.
Folic acid you can take in tablet form for 3 months.

vit D you can take cap vit D3 60 k once in a week for 3 months.


alcohol will affect your absorption process so better to stop it.
