Hello Doctor, I am 29 years old, married since 3 years and have had two miscarriages (one each in 2009 and 2010). They were both 1st trimester losses in 10 weeks and 8 weeks respectively. Both were confirmed pregnancies (found a heartbeat in 7 weeks). After a series of tests, the doctors have determined that my progestrone level is too low during the middle of my menstrual cycle and I have a PCOD. For this my doctor said i can be treated with progestrone supplements during pregnancy. Though I had progestrone supplement during my 2nd pregnancy I still had miscarriage.

Further tests revealed that I have "low Protein C activity level", which implies higher risk of thrombosis. So now they want to prescribe low dose aspirin during hormonal treatment (FSH injection to improve follicle quality before ovulation) during conception, progestrone after confirming pregnancy and low dose heparin shots after confirming pregnancy and 2 months after delivery.

I am worried if all these might have any side effect on the baby. Moreover, last month for the first time ever I had a delayed period. So the doctor told me to take DUPHASTON (progestrone supplement) 2 tabs per day for 10 days to get my periods. Now I want to delay my period for 10-12 days and shift my menstrual cycle using DUPASTON. Is that safe to do? I want to do this, because I have lot of travels coming up during the time of my menstrual cycle in the next 3 months and I feel really uncomfortable with this.

Please answer my couple of questions, it would be really helpful.
