Can Astroglide Gel Cause Painful Urination And Wart Like Bumps Near Vagina?
Hello, I am a 58 yr old female. I am questioning my if my recent experience may have been caused by a product called Astroglide Gel.(a personal lubricant) about 3 wks ago I experienced painful urination, I could only pass a little water and at the end it hurt so much I had to breathe rapidly to ease the pain. Next I would see blood. I no longer menstruate. this lasted about a week. Now I noticed that i have these wart like bumps near the entrance to my vaginal lips. The only thing I can see that I am doing different is using that gel. Could I be having an allergic reaction?

Astroglide gel relieves sexual discomfort, irritation and vaginal dryness. It is approved for use with not only latex condoms and sex toys, but also lubrication when masturbating. Side effects of Astroglide gel are a significant type of allergic reaction at the application site known as anaphylaxis, a type of allergic reaction called angio-edema, bumps at the site of application, hives, fast heartbeat, puffy face from water retention, painful micturition, trouble breathing, wheezing, contact dermatitis, skin rash, skin irritation, skin redness or erythema etc. Stop using this gel will subside the side effects over time.
