Can Accutane Cause Dryness During Intercourse?

I was on accutane a couple months ago. Before I had no problems with becoming wet during sex, but now a couple of months after taking accutane, I am having problems with getting wet. Will it get better or is it more of a side effect with birth control pills?

Hi,

Accutane has many side effects and dryness is also one of the side effect. If you are on birth control pill, then chances are there that your birth control pill is causing dryness as you have already discontinued use of Accutane. You can use lubricants to ease the symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jasmine Jagan, General & Family Physician
