Burn On Hand And Painful Scar Appeared. How To Treat This?
Hi, I burnt my right hand almost 10 cm above my palm, it hit the hot pan taken out of the oven. It was so painful when it happened but unfortunately because I had to serve my guests I couldn t hold it for 20 min under the cold water. Anyway it changed the skin and now after 4-5 years I feel the pain, still some scar there and when it got in touch with my clothes or any hot things it got hot and the pain increases and quickly I have to cool it down and as long as I keep it cool it will be fine but as soon as it got warm again the pain starts. I think it is the nerves, but what can I do to treat it as it is like a permanent minor burning pain and uncomfortable. thanks for any advice.

This burning is due to irritation of the skin
You can use a combination of Antihistamine and pain killers to treat your symptoms
The combination include:
1. Histamine such as Tab. Cetrizine 10 mg twice daily by the name of Rigix for 05 days
2. An anti inflammatory agaents such as Tab. Ibuprofen 400 mg thrice daily for 03 days.
You should visit your plastic surgeon for possibility of the graft if needed.
There is nothing to worry about you will be fine with that medicine.
