Brownish Vaginal Discharge After Intercourse. Reason?
Ok, my husband and I have been married 5 years. My period just ended about 5 days ago. Lately after intercourse I would notice a brown smelly discharge. This has never happened before. I feel pressure in my lower abdomen as well. At first I had light spotting of blood and now its all the way brown and weird smelling. And this only happens after sex. Help please

There can be many reasons for the discharge may be due to initiate and complete menstural bleeding . Dark brown spotting after period with unpleasant smell may be due to endometriosis. It is a disease in which the uterine lining is inflamed.
It can be also due to cervical erosion during sexual intercourse.
I suggest you to visit a gyanacologist and get it checked clinically , radio graphically,and if possible get a pap smear examination done for better assessment .hope this will help you.

It is likely that you could be suffering from a genital tract infection. Following menses, it is very common to have a genital tract infection because blood is a rich culture medium for bacteria. It does not necessarily have to be sexually transmitted.
However, the occurrence after sexual intercourse too is very important because it warrants an in dept examination of the cervix.
You should consult your gynecologist for detail examination, sperculum examination, lab tests; vaginal smear etc. and for appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
