HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Hematuria (blood in the urine) can be distressing to any one.

The cystoscopy would have looked at the bladder to see if there were any changes or masses that could contribute to your symptoms.
The CT would have ruled out any changes to the kidneys, ureters, bladder, urethra and prostate.
The blood tests may have checked to see if the kidneys were working properly, your blood count, any evidence of infection or inflammation.

If your doctor suggested that the ciprofloxacin be continued for 14 days then it would be best to do this.
It should be taken as suggested.

If the bleeding continues despite adequate treatment with an appropriate antibiotic then infection is not likely.

In some persons the exact cause of the bleeding is not known.

I hope this helps

If the bleeding is painless and is continuing even after taking antibiotics, you must undergo a cystoscopic examination to rule out any tumor in the bladder even if CT scan is normal.

HI ! Usually the antibiotic for a urinary tract infection is given for a long time and at least for two weeks. So you should continue it for 14 days complete. However, if you get a recurrence of hematuria ( blood in the urine), then you should consult your urologist for a review, and undergo a cystoscopic examination if advised by him. Good luck.
