Black Spot On Labia, Cysts In Breast. Are These Related. Any Ideas?
Had my annual ob gyn check up on Fri. They found a black spot on my labia that she showed me with a mirror. It was not there last year. It is not raised, Looks like someone colored me with a black magic marker. I have to go back to see The Ob gyn Dr. Next week as it was a nurse practitioner that did the Pap. Then I went directly for my mammogram and that showed to cysts in my left breast that were never there before. Both the spot and the cysts are on the left side could this be related. What could the black spot be? I have an appointment with surgeon tomorrow to discuss the biopsy on my breast. I will be 61 this coming Mon.
Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.
The breast cyst and the pigmented lesion on your labia are completely unrelated and should be addressed separately. The lesion on the labia needs to be biopsied. It be a pre-cancerous skin finding and melanoma should be ruled out. The good thing is that you have a provider that is not ignoring this fact. Get both addressed as separate issues and make sure that the labial lesion is not ignored!
I hope that this helps and good luck!
