Biopsy Showed Leukoplakia With Moderate Displasia In Tongue Previously. Having White Patches On The Same Side. Suggestions?

hi,my husband is of 34..2yrs back an operation had been done on his tongue to remove leukoplakia ..he had been suffering from leukoplakia for 10yrs..a big portion 4/3/1.5 cm had been cut off from the right side of his tongue..after removal we did a biopsy and report came out as leukoplakia with moderate displasia ...our doctor told us that nothing was there to worry about.now after 2yrs we notice slight white patches on the same side..what can we do now?is it alarming?will it transform into cancer?i am really worried..
