I have a 9 month old baby girl and I ve been on Mirena since about a week after my 6 week check up. I ve loved it. I m still cautious when it comes to sex. I can not have another baby. So my boyfriend and I use condoms and/or he pulls out . My strings are still there, my belly isn t growing or starting to harden like it would if I was far enough to feel a baby kick and I ve taken two pregnancy test and they ve both been negative but I ve been having flutters. It literally feels like when my baby girl used to kick me while I was pregnant. I ve looked online and I ve seen plenty of other people who say that it happens to them so I figured I d ask someone who hopefully would know what s really going on. Please help?
Hi, Thanks for the query. The possibility of pregnancy is less in your case. As you are on IUCD and also using barrier method of contraception. The symptoms you are experiencing could be due to excessive thinking about the pregnancy called psuedocyesis. The movements you are feeling can be bowel movements. Once go for ultrasound, that will clarify the doubt. Take care.
