General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Your symptoms seems to be caused by the lateral cutaneous nerve of thigh compression (what is called meralgia paraesthetica). This condition can appear due to too tight underwear which compresses the nerve (during long time sitting in the car for example). This causes symptoms mentioned by you.
The best treatment is to remove the cause of nerve compression. Depending on the degree of nerve damage, it can take weeks or even few months for the pain and numbness go away.
Please try to wear looser clothes and avoid long time sitting.

Hope this will help.
Regards.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement Dr. Saurabh Gupta's  Response
Hello and Welcome to HCM,
Thanks for writing to us.
From descrition pain over lateral asect of thigh could be due to ressure of lateral cutaneous nerve of thigh(marselgia parasthetica). Pressure over nerve might be due to tight innerwear. Taking methylcobalamin suplements will be helpful.
Hope this helps you.
Wishing you good health...
Regards.
