Bad Side Effect With Clarithromycin Prescribed For Pneumonia. Any Alternative Drugs ?

bad side effect with clarithromycin, nearly passed out after feeling 'drugged' and wobbly. this after just 3 500 MG tablets. prescribed for pneumonia that didn't respond effectively to amoxicillin. very scary. how long before drug out of my system??? what alternative drugs can I use to treat my pneumonia, that won't cause awful side effects???

go for sputum/Bronchoscopic alveolar lavage for culture and sensitivity and change the antibotics according to the results.You can till then change to different antibiotic like a fluoroquinolone (ofloaxacin),in combination with faropenem and ornidazole.I would recommend you to consult a pulmonologist as earlier as possible.
