Are Painful Hand And Fingers Swelling With Cyanosis Normal After A Fracture?

i have a compound fracture of the wrist which i did sliiping on the ice in france. the french dr set it with a local anaesethic and put a hard cast from fingers to upper arm on which is due to be x rayed on fri. to see if it is setting ok or if i will need screws.
my question is that my hand is quite swollen and blue although the fingers are only swollen and not blue. there is quite a lot of pain but i can move my fingers and lift my arm. should i go to have it checked or is this normal
