Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

Regarding your query for role of antibiotic in swelling nose due to sinusitis and bronchitis. In this reference I would like to tell you that swelling over nose in sinusitis is basically appears whenever there is associated thrombophlebitis of angular vein or thrombosis of associated sinuses (cavernous sinus)

In such cases only antibiotic alone will not be sufficient to treat , and in such cases there is need of addition of these -

1- Trypsin or Chymotrypsin.

2- Steroids.

3- Cold compression.

I think your query is answered

Regards.
