Allergy from gluten, nuts and soy has led to severe anxiety. Will psychotherapy be adequate?

I am very allergic to a lot of foods. Gluten, soy, dairy, flax, fish, nuts, and garlic. I also am recovering from breast cancer. I've had a lot of allergic reactions lately where my heart goes racing after either smelling or eating the food. I've suffered from anxiety in the past and have managed to get through them with a lot of psychotherapy. These symptoms feel like I'm having now feel like anxiety attack. I can't tell if it's the food I'm eating or not and weather to take a Benadryl or something else. I just had an attack while I was washing my hair and after looking at the ingredients there was soy. However I've used it before and I was fine. Could the smell create a chemical stimuli?

Hi Allergy I have been suffering from nasal allergy since my second pregnancy last year - from April 2013( I was 4 months pregnant then )I had severe allergy that time. I was unable to sleep in the nights due to breathing difficulty.I used Allegra, Sudafed, Claritin on and off ( never used as a course as I was pregnant)After delivery, the allergy continued but not as severe as when I was pregnant.I went for allergy testing ( skin pricking test ) in USA in december,2013 and I was diagnosed as allergic to DUST MITES and some other environmental factors too. I was given a Fluticasone nasal spray to use. I used it for 3 weeks and stopped it as they are steroids.I came to India for 2 months ( January and February) . I visited a general doctor and was diagnosed as Allergic Rhinitis.  I tested CBC ( Complete Blood Count ) test and thyroid and eosinophilia - all were negative.  The  doctor said it is pure allergy caused due to dust. He prescribed me to use Montair LC for 20 days. Iwas feeling better while using the medicine. After stopping the medicine, the symptoms came back. Then I visited doctor again he told me to use the medicine Montair LC for 15 more days and check it. I used it and was fine and the symptoms returned when I stopped using the medicine. Then, I visited an Ayurvedic doctor in India and was asked to use chywanprash,  SwAsari pravasi, tribhuvankriti Ras and SwAsari ras for 3 months and use Chyawanprash only for 3 years. I started using these Ayurvedic medicines on and off as they have high heat potency. Then, whenever I get severe allergy reactions, I take Montair LC for few days for relief and stop it.  ---- what kind of diet is required for this allergy type??? ---- what foods should I ignore????           I used to take lemon, honey and apple cider vinegar mixed with water fora Few days in the early mornings for increasing my resistance. But as I am not supposed to take citrus fruits I stopped taking this mix. I used to eat oranges and orange juice earlier for increasing the vitamin c levels. Now I stopped taking this as they r citrus too. What should I do to have vitamin C  - any supplements ? I used amlaki ( for vitamin c - it has 500 mg) on and off........should I continue this for vitamin c...???? ----- vitamin d - I tested vitamin D levels here last month - my levels are 38.6 ( my multivitamin has 1000 IU ) ----- I am taking prenatal multi vitamin tablets daily since pregnancy. Can I eat wheat bread as it has GLUTEN in it????? ----- instead of milk, can I drink soy milk or Almond milk with cereal or oatmeal in the mornings for breakfast.... ( for calcium intake ) ???? ( earlier when I drank milk at night after eating food, I had nasal congestion ) - then slowly after I get burping and gases go away, the nasal block relieves again ---- sometimes even if I take heavy meals my nose is blocking and the block relieves once my gases pass away. ----- Nuts ( badam, pecans, walnuts, pista, dates, raisins, peanuts )  - should I stop eating all these nuts??? ----- I started doing pranayama since the last few days. ----- for omega 3 , I am taking chia seeds one tablespoon (2250 mg) daily is it enough or Do I need fish oil or cod liver oil supplement or algal DHA ???? -----Please tell me how to increase my immunity levels for combating these allergies My cousin , ent specialist told me to use Xaria Plus for 3 months course and said it will cure my allergies. Is it safe to use it this way? Please clarify these doubts.......

Let me start off by saying that I am a sane competent person and request that you are open minded whilst reading my somewhat off the wall story. Okay, recently I ve been experiencing a long list of seemingly unrelated symptoms including weight loss , brain fog, IBS type symptoms, depression , lack of motivation, acne-seems like cystic acne that are layered on top of one another that starts off with a painful bump and does not heal (also they seem to be interconnected in tunnels deep in my skin), slow wound heeling, weakness, dizziness , lack of appetite, poor blood circulation (numbness and tingling in the extremities or limbs will feel cold and turn kind of purple) , skin seems to be getting dirtier faster(when I take a shower it s like I came back from 3 days of camping), sensation of a bug landing on the skin followed by a hair or black speck expelling from my skin, constipation, skin and hair has lost luster, cognitive problems (sometimes its difficult to articulate a sentence because the word I m looking for escapes me), insomnia , mild mood swings and character changes (general disinterest), migraines or headaches, feels as though my vision isn t as sharp, change in food cravings (I used to have a mature palette now it s more childlike-French fries, bread, cake, fried foods). Possibly forgetting a few, nonetheless, an extensive list. I am the type of person that will slap on a smile and pretend that everything is fine until I can no longer ignore the problem so naturally I just learned to live with each symptom as they came. The acne got to a point where I didn t want to leave my house is when I started googling my symptoms and came to the conclusion that I had a dental abscess from a root canal that I had a year prior and the bacteria was coming through the nerves out through my face and morgellons disease also stood out. I went to the doctor and he prescribed me amoxicillin and my skin seemed to be getting better and it felt as though all the wounds on my body were healing. That was a 2 week stint and when I stopped the medication my healing immediately moved to a much slower pace. It s been about 2-3 months since then and my acne has gotten a lot better. There had been so many layers of acne and took a while to heal each layer-almost there. I feel a lot better now but I am starting to see signs that I m moving towards being infectious again. I was watching doctor oz. the other day and he was talking about celiac disease and gluten the silent killer. As I watched, a growing feeling of hey, I have just about all the symptoms of gluten intolerance and I feel that I have finally found the root cause of my many ailments (also morgellons disease is thought to be a variation of gluten intolerance). Finally, my question. Okay, I have to add a little more backstory my apologies. I have had an alcohol intolerance my whole life and in high school I started taking the prescription medication xanax (benzodiazepine) and for some reason while on Xanax I can drink almost as much as I want and not turn red or feel sick. Previously, one sip of beer would turn my whole body red and make me feel sick. Another side effect Xanax gave me was an uncontrollable hunger that is comparable to when someone smokes weed. It would make me crave foods high in sugar, greasy food, food generally bad for you and in inhuman amounts. I am 5 6 before Xanax around 103 pounds and up to 113 pounds after 2 years of taking Xanax. I quit Xanax a little over a year ago because it was beginning to make me get panic attacks (who knew taking anti-anxiety medication causes you to get anxiety). My point is that after I quit Xanax is when all these symptoms starting appearing given that it when my diet changed from only pigging out when on Xanax to craving those foods all the time which may have triggered the more severe symptoms of gluten allergies. Do you think there is a possible connection? There are so many possibilities of variances such as when I quit Xanax is also the time when I moved into my apt by myself (I previously lived with roommates) so it might be this environment. I am completely aware that I sound like a kook but I am living on my own and have been in such a vegetable state that I haven t worked in over a year and I have no energy and I need a reason besides I am just a lazy slob to my parents who have had just about enough of my inadequacies which I am in total agreeance with yet still cannot make the moves to change. Sorry I realize this is not a therapy session but any professional input would help. I am a 21 year old Korean female 5 6 and now about 96 pounds. I still eat a lot when I do eat and it s high calorie foods that are unhealthy but shouldn t be losing this much weight. Will try the gluten free route starting now... Anyhow thank you for reading and any info would be great ! Sincerely, Kook

I can t breathe. I am not congested, I do not smoke, and I am taking full breaths until my lungs are full. But it feels like there s not adequate oxygen in my breathes and it s not satisfying, leading me to focus deeply on my breathing and starting breathing more heavily and causing anxiety and fear. I am on no medication. I am not overweight. My stomach feels strange and so does my throat. This has happened on and off for weeks and now it s been persistent for 36 hours. Could this be allergy related? I suspected mold in my living space.

my daughter is 14 years old and she is very thin. She can eats alot when she is hungry. But she has infrequent bowel movement , sometimes like 2 to 3 days. So i try to give her fruit juice and she also likes to take a lot of vegetables but i don t see any improvement . And what i suspect is she might be having a celiac disease . What do you think doc ?

Hi, I have coeliac disease and have been adhering to a gluten free diet for about a year now since I was diagnosed. I ve always had a problem with fatigue and had attributed it to the coeliac disease; however, now that I m on a gluten free diet I had thought that might alleviate it - it hasn t. I can sleep anywhere from 5 to 15 hours a night and always have the same lethargy, despite trying different sleeping patterns, drowning myself in coffee, having B12 injections , and doing awake things like getting out and about. Is there anything you could recommend to make me less sleepy all the time?

I had stomach pains which felt like gas a week ago. I also had a lot of burping. I ate a lot of raw vegetables that night, along with a lobster roll.I also normally do not eat a lot of wheat gluten . I have had normal bowel movements all week. I have a small bruise in the area where the pains were. It still feels like stitch in that area. My stomach was hard and distended. I also have some pressure when I urinate. It does feel better than before but it is not completely gone. What could it be?

I have Epilepsy and Celiac Disease and it is very difficult to find gluten-free drugs that are generic (because of my co-pay/generic) that don t have gluten in them and when I do some places say that their distributing warehouse says it is N/A. What should I do, I have been calling around to pharmacies and finding out where they get certain drugs for my Epilepsy within a 30 to 40 mile around with not to good a results. What should I do ? I have tried YYYY@YYYY to them to get a certain drug in but yet no results.
