3 Year Old With Loss Of Appetite, Pain In The Abdomen, White Stools. Does He Have Appendicitis?

My 3 year old son, has had almost no appetite for the last few days, when he usual eats everything. He has also been mentioning his tummy hurts from time to time. Today while having a bowel movement , it came out very pale, almost white and extremely soft looking. I fear he might have minor appendicitis . - his body has also been omitting heat, yet he has no fever. He has also shown signs of fatigue .

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

White stools with loss of appetite the first thing that comes to my mind is if your child is having jaundice.

Are his eyes yellow in color?
Does he have any vomiting?
Is the pain abdomen more on the right side beneath the ribs?
What is the color of his urine?

A physical examination by your doctor followed by liver function tests including serum bilirubin will help in arriving at a diagnosis.

Hope this helps.
Take care.
