3 Year Old Having Skin Rashes On The Knee, Feet And Stomach. Swollen Wrists. Allergic Reaction?

hi my 3 year old daughter has had spots that started on her bum, and has now spread to her legs knees, feet , hands and stomach also some on her face and arms, her wrists have also swollen a little, we took her to the doctors today and he said it was more than likely heat rash or a reaction to some thing, but its getting worse, we have just given her some piriton

Thank you for your query.

You have not mentioned the duration of the problem or any other associated symptom like fever, cough, etc. If there is no improvement after giving Piriton then your daughter would need to be investigated furhter for the cause. I suggest you follow up with the treating doctor.

If it is heat rash then there should be itching and the child will be comfortable in a cooler environment. If it a reaction to something then the offending item needs to be identified by exclusion.
