2 Year Kid, Swollen Lymph Node, Low Grade Fever, Lethargic. High WBC, Platelets. Suggestions?

My two year old initially had WBC of 26, platelets 600, iron 11. Additional CBC done after three rounds of antibiotics (augmenten, amoxicillin and Bactrim) showed WBC 15.3 once off for a week. Running low grade fever for over a month, lymph node in neck consistently swollen. Some days lethargic. What do I need to look for? Thank you on advance!

Hi,

Thank you for your query.

Though you have mentioned the total WBC but you have not mentioned the differential count and the units of measurement without which it is not possible to provide you with any guidance. If the low grade temperature is persisting and the the lymph node in the neck is increasing in size then your child needs to be examined by a doctor and investigated accordingly to rule out a number of possible causes.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your child an early recovery.
