Whitehead Near Anus And Scrotum, Rash On Foot And Chest, Itching When Sweaty, Rectal Bleeding. Concerned

Question: I seem to have a small white head near the area between my anus and scrotum. Additionally I have a rash on my foot and chest for a couple of weeks. I got a small rash on my chest followed by a cold but they both went away within a week. The rash on my chest is probably heat rash since its itchy when I am sweaty. The rash on my foot seems to be a little more fungal but I'm not sure. Additionally I had rectal bleeding one day a couple of weeks ago and it went away. I am concerned however about this small white head near my rectum and scrotum

Hello there,

Thanks for writing in.

From the image, it appears to be a case of folliculitis( inflammation of the hair follicle).Sometimes shaving the pubic region could be the cause of folliculitis. The scrotal region is more prone for sweating thereby making it more prone to infections.

While having a shower use an antimicrobial soap to clean the area. Wash it off and dry it well.Basically, keep the area clean and dry.

Wear cotton underwear as cotton helps the skin to breathe.

Apply hot fomentation on the white head twice a day for 2 days( Dip a piece of clean cotton cloth in warm water , wring and apply warm cloth on the white head).

Apply topical antibiotic like clindamycin cream twice a day on the white head.

If there is no improvement even after 5 -7 days, I would advise you to visit your doctor for a definitive diagnosis.

Other possibilities I can think of are fungal folliculitis, sebaceous cysts, etc.

The rectal bleeding you had might be due to piles( Hemorrhoids )or anal fissures, both of which are gets worse with constipation. So keep your stools soft by having plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, fibre XXXXXXX food, bananas,8-10 glasses of water a day.

I hope I have answered your queries .I will be happy to answer any further queries you might have.

In case you don't have any further queries, please accept my answer. Any reviews are welcome.

Have a great day.
