When Do Periods Start After Stopping Meprate And Progynova?

Question: I am using meprate and progynova for2years,now i stoped taking pil frm feb 25 didnt get periods yet

As might be happening in your case before February. Also I would like to know - why were you prescribed progynova and meparate. - what were the doses? 2 meprate 1 progynopa-in morning 2meprate-at night\ 10mg each-meprate I am using these for continously two years.. Is any change of pregnancy here??? Gunashella hospital prescribed me.. I have undergone lapcroscopy for endometric cyst. march2011 thats why

Ever since you were taking the medicines for 2 years continuously, the return of ovulation and thus periods takes some time. But the period of wait has extended to 2 months already, so my work up part will stay the same, get an ultrasound done and see for reports so that your gynecologist can delineate further course of action. The chances of pregnancy are almost nil so keep that anxiety on one side and get the ultrasound done. Patients with history of endometriosis should plan for pregnancy as soon as possible. Brief Answer: delay in ovulation at times Detailed Answer: Hi, as it is there's no major side effect but there can be irregular mentruation or delay of ovulation for a few months after leaving the medicine which will subside by itself. Only matter of concern is recurrance of endometriosis disease so just start planning to have a baby as soon as possible once you get married. Wish you the best of health. Take care.
