Brief Answer:
right now your bmi is 25.9

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

To determine if a person's weight is too low, just right or too high for their height, the BMI (body mass index) is calculated.

This is the weight (in kg), divided by the height in m (the height is squared).

A BMI less than 18- the person is too small for their height and needs to gain weight
BMI 18.1 to 24.9- Good weight for height
BMI 25- 29.9- person is over weight
BMI greater than 30- the person is obese

Your BMI (based on a height of 5 ft 5 and weight of 70 kg) is 25.9.

If you add 15 kg to this, your BMI would be 31.1- it would put your weight in the obese zone.
You would have too much weight for your height

Increased weight would causes (1)bone pain- the frame finds it difficult to hold excess weight
(2)increase your risk of diabetes
(3)increase your risk of high cholesterol
(4)increase your chance of getting high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke
(5)it would also cause fatty liver which can lead to liver failure
(6)can also develop sleep apnoea

Right now, your weight is good for your height. if you increase it, it will likely lead to a sleuth of problems.

If you still wish to gain weight despite all of the medical problems that may occur, then the use of B vitamins ( vitamin b12, folate, vitamin b6 , B 1, B2) would stimulate the appetite and cause weight gain.
B vitamins can be obtained on their own or in multivitamins. In addition, high calorie meals such as ensure would also cause weight gain.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions

Brief Answer:
adding muscle rather than fat

Detailed Answer:
HI

You can try to gain muscle mass, this would also help you with your physical activities.

Increase in muscle mass would also cause an increase in your weight.

Supplements that help with muscle mass are usually protein in some form because the muscles are made up of proteins. The most common ones used are: whey protein supplements, casein supplements, amino acid supplements (such as beta alanine and glutamine).
You can try one of these supplements to help with muscle mass and weight gain.

In addition using natural protein containing products such as high calorie milks ( eg ensure- there is a type for muscle mass) would also help to add muscle and weight without adding any unhealthy fats.

You should also try strength training exercises as well, this would also assist in adding mass to your body.

The key would be to increase your weight by adding muscle rather than fat. The muscle would be beneficial to you, the fat would only cause problems.

The supplements mentioned should be available at your local pharmacy or health shop.

Please feel free to ask anything else
