Alanine

What is Alanine?

It is a non essential amino acid, which means it can be manufactured by human body and is not necessarily required to be obtained from food. Sources of alanine are meat, fish, poultry, dairy products, beans, nuts, soya products, whole grains etc. It is useful in low blood sugar, diarrhea and dehydration, liver disease, prostrate hypertrophy & certain inherited disorders like glycogen storage disease.
