What is the normal ALT level?
Welcome to HealthcareMagic.
Normal ALT level in males is 10-40units /liter or 0.17-0.68 microkats /liter.
Mild increase in level is seen in alcoholics. Usually less then 100 is unlikely to cause any problems, so it is not taken of much significance.
Hope I have answered your query . If any further queries are there I would love to help.
Don't worry 53 is not that much raised. If such a patient comes to me I don't advise any further treatment .
There is no much need for further ultrasound. You may get ALT every 6 months once. If it is increasing then liver protective drugs may be taken.
Hope I have been helpful .
not much needed
As such nothing is needed. But still for safer side you may reduce intake of fried items, butter and ghee, junk foods.
You may take liv52 syrup or tablet once daily . This is herbel liver detoxifier .
Foods which are liver protective and which needs to be increased in diet are garlic, orange, beetroot, spinach, turmeric powder. These are some of the food. You may choose among these . Its better to take all in adequate quantity as they contain different minerals and vitamins also.
