Thanks for your query.

Prolactin secretion is inhibited by dopamine. Amino acids like phenylalanine and tyrosine are required for the synthesis of dopamine. So those food stuffs which contain these amino acids lower prolactin level.

1) Food XXXXXXX in phenylalanine: Mostly the proteinaceous foods like fish, eggs, beef, chicken, soy protein. Dry fruits like peanuts, almonds (10 almonds roughly equal to 1 g phenylalanine), walnuts are also XXXXXXX in phenylalanine.

2) Food XXXXXXX in tyrosine: whole wheat, oats, beans, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds.Nutritional yeast is also a good source of both of these.

Food XXXXXXX in antioxidants (vit.A, C and E and mineral like selenium) protect the dopamine releasing cells. So green leafy vegetables, berries etc. help this way.
