Brief Answer:
Needs work up to confirm the cause

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Leukocytes double high than normal and no fever, no complaints, only morning vomiting should be evaluated for blood pathologies. Infections focus shoul dbe sorted out first with thorough work up, blood cultures will help. I would also suggest bone marrow biopsy and peripheral smear of the blood picture to rule out some sinister causes for this raised leukocytes.

talk to your hematologist and let them decide what is best for you, I hope it helps. take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan

If no infection present, would lab values suggest a leukemia? Should i be requesting to see a hematologist? The Family doctor referred her to pediatrician but i have yet to hear from them. How urgent is this?

I didnt want to use the word and i tried to coat it under sinister in my previous answer, but yes that would be a possibility and that's why i requested you to seek a hematologist.

Brief Answer:
As soon as possible

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back to me

As leukocyte is very high and we are suspecting other sinister causes, waiting till july is not acceptable. I don't know how waiting and queue system works and whom to contact in case of bringing it up the queue. But she needs urgent care as god forbid if its some malignancy of blood cells, till july it will be too late.

FInd a way to get it examined as quick as possible. Seek a hematologist.

I hope it helps.
