Brief Answer:
Please upload MRI film/CD.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist, here to answer your query.

MRI spine report mentioned about diffuse changes, osteoporotic as well as disc bulges with thecal indentation and foraminal narrowing.

I would appreciate if you can please upload the MRI CD as an archived file on google drive and share the drive link here. That way, I can have a good analysis of spine issues and provide a better opinion.

Further, Bone mineral density (BMD) must be done, and if osteoporotic, medicines like Bisphophonates may need to be taken,to avoid further complications like fractures.

Also, vitamin D deficiency must be checked for by getting 25-hydroxy-vitamin D levels done in blood.

Antineuralgic medicines like Pregabalin, Duloxetine, Calcium, Methylcobalamin will help.In addition, short course of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines like Etoricoxib may be required. Appropriate Physical therapy and spinal exercises may prove to be of great help.

In extreme cases, if medicines and physical therapy do not improve the symptoms, then Surgery may be required.

Hope that helps.I shall be glad to have you in follow-up with further questions.

PLEASE TAKE MEDICINES UNDER PHYSICIAN'S GUIDANCE ONLY.

Regards

Brief Answer:
Treatment remains the same as I discussed above.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for being in follow-up.

I have gone through 'Nerve conduction studies' report which you have attached. This report is suggestive of L5-S1 radiculopathy. L5-S1 radiculopathy is due to spinal changes as mentioned in MRI.

Treatment remains the same as I discussed above in detail.

If you have any specific query regarding treatment, please specify so.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for being in follow-up.

I need to see her stand and walk(even with support, if she can). That will help me to actually make an impression about her walking difficulty.

I suggest you to please create a video for the same and upload on google drive(and share the drive link here in follow-up) so that I can have a look at the same and guide you further.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for being in follow-up.

I have seen the MRI film which shows disc bulges at L4-L5 and L5-S1 as mentioned in the report.

I suggest you to upload a video which can show your mother stand and walk. That will help me to guide you well.

On the basis of MRI, the treatment remains, as I discussed above.
