What Does My Ultrasound Scan Test Report Indicate?

Question: I am 72 years of male. In a ultrasound test, I found Cortical cyst measuring around 7.1x6.7cm is seen in the upper pole cortex of right kidney. Urinary Bladder is well distended. No. calculas mass is seen. Wall thickness is normal.
Prostate measures about 39grams in weight and shows normal echotexture. No sol is seen.

Single isolated cortical cysts are normal after the age of 50 years and are not of any harm. However in your case the cyst is large and will require evaluation
Here is how you should go about it

1. Get a renal function test and urine routine done to rule out infection
2. Contrast enhanced ct will also be helpful in ruling out any malignant form of cysts

I would like you to approach a nephrologist near you as soon as possible for the above investigations
