Brief Answer:
Good work.

Detailed Answer:
Hi. I am doing great and hope you too. Good to hear from you once again.
I have reviewed your medical reports. The first HbA1c of the year 2014 is 6.4 and the second report is 5.6. Since the date is not mentioned in that report so I believe that it's the recent one.
I must say it's absolutely excellent.
You can continue with Fenugreek seeds as well as the all life style and dietary changes you have adopted.
Your lipids are also within acceptable range. With these reports I must say that you are as fit as a young person!!
Feel comfortable to ask me if you have any query.

Brief Answer:
Results are good.

Detailed Answer:
Your HbA1c is well controlled. I feel that your Trajenta can be stopped and just Glucophase (Metformin) would be sufficient.
Your reports are appreciable.
Write back to me with your fresh reports once performed in December.
If you have any further query, please ask me.

Dr. XXXXXXX

Thank u for professional answer and am always happy and comfortable with your opinions. My questions now is regarding the nlood suger test kits or equipments i have 3 differemts accu check, precise check which is german company and and another one call one touch... All these kits gives me different resul anytime i use all of them to check the accu check is usually higher by + 12 or more they hardly matched up with the 2 for example this mng when i do the checking with precise check the german product it gives me 79 i run out of stripes on d accu check but am surr it would have been nothing not less than 95 while d one touch was 85. So pls dr give me your perspective pn this matter.

And my second question is on mu lipid profile which was a bit high in my recent medical result and my dr has put me on crestor 5mg once at nyt for 90 days and he advise me to be takilng a spoon of olive oil 3 times a day. Dr pls give me your thougts pn these issues.

Thank u.

Brief Answer:
Continue with Crestor

Detailed Answer:
I am glad that you are happy with my opinion.
Now, see it hardly matters that there is difference in blood sugar levels with different glucometres and that's universal.
Overall important is that your HbA1c should be in range.
So, you may check fasting blood sugars once in a while with any glucometer that you have.
As far as lipids are concerned, you can take Crestor 5 mg for as advised. Your cholesterol would get under control.
Now, as far as Olive Oil is concerned, you should not take it specially 3 times a day. You should substitute your refined oil with Olive oil.
In my opinion, no oil is good for health and should be avoided as far as possible.
But Olive oil is a safer and better option.
I hope it helps you.
If you have any further query, please ask me.

Brief Answer:
Details given

Detailed Answer:
Hi. As I mentioned that in people with good diabetic control there is not much importance of daily or frequent blood sugar testing as it is not going to change the course of action. Just HbA1c is reliable and would help you know your control.
You should take sugar free, low fat yog hurt only. Honey can be taken if your blood sugars are under control.
Fautush salad can also be consumed.
Good luck.

Thank dr.. It is my understanding that the result you get from testing is what u divide by either 18 or 20 to get the HBa1 that is my reason for wanting to kmow the base figure to use. So pls u need to explain to me whethet its the way to go or not. Am working hard to keep my blood suger withing +/-5. So u can c all i need is to know the proper direction to go. So pls help me... And pls what is ESR mine a times is one or less than 1 and some times i find it very difficult to sleep till i take some tabs like lexaton and i hardly sleep for 5 hrs straight...

Brief Answer:
HbA1c is 3 Mon average.

Detailed Answer:
Mam, you need to understand that what's HbA1c actually. It's an average blood sugar of 3 months. So calculating it daily with the mathematical division of Fasting or Random blood sugar is not going to give you any benefit. Since the blood sugar reading are different at different time of the day as well as on different days so we calculate it through HbA1c which calculates it through your Red blood cells that have a life span of 3 months.
So there is no point in calculating it the way you are trying to do.
ESR is a marker of inflammation and we see that your ESR values can vary.
So don't worry about that.
As far as sleep is concerned yes you need to take atleast 8 hours sleep in a day. So if you have trouble with that you may take anti anxiety drugs like Etizolam in night.
I hope it helps you.

Hy dr. Thank u.. Pls what is an artery and doest it need to be calcified or not. My dr asked me to do ct scan as he was trying to make that determination. Pls give a run down on it...
doctor
Answered by Dr. Anshul Varshney (7 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Go ahead with CT Angiography.

Detailed Answer:
Hi. See arteries are our pipelines that supply blood to the various organs including the heart. Like our water pipe lines get choked with the course of time, similarly our arteries supplying the heart also get calcified and cases obstruction to blood flow and when the calcification is severe causing the obstruction of blood flow then a person gets a heart attack.
So CT angiography or CT calcium scoring are the methods to determine whether the arteries have significant calcification or not.
People who have risk factors like advancing age , diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol should undergo the CT calcium scoring for determination and timely intervention.
I have tried to explain you things in as simple language as possible.
I hope it helps you
