Posted on Mon, 21 Sep 2015
Question: Hello I have had pain on my right side since February. I just had a blood test that showed my ALT IS 392 and my AST is 202. My doctor took me off diclofenac that I have been on since May. The pain on my right is worse and a I am very weak. I also have developed a middle of my chest pressure for 3-4 weeks. I am off diclofenac for 9 days now. I also have a lump on my right arm that hurts.

Brief Answer:
Needs ultrasound

Detailed Answer:
hi.
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your message.
I think I can help you.
A further evaluation is needed as per your query.
I think a ultrasound of the abdomen and the swelling of the arm are needed.
There is a possibility that the 2 are related.
Also , you will need to repeat the levels in case they are rising further.
Ideally I would suggest admission under a MD medicine physician. Meeting up with a gastroenterology specialist is also advisable.
Testing for hepatitis is also needed.
I think it would be difficult for you to undergo all tests on opd basis.
I think admission is the best way.
I hope that the information helps.
Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
