Posted on Wed, 27 Sep 2017
Question: Recently I was informed of a MRI result (From Radiology Dept) . They told me I had a 3.7 cm by 4.5 cm Solid Cyst on my Right Adrenal. I m having sever back pain ( Lower across both sides) and abdominal pain. I also am starting to have pain going down my inside thighs and some numbness, tingling, in my legs. Having Trouble retrieving words when im speaking too.Im not sure what to make of any of this. Does Solid Cyst mean Tumor? And is that size considered large? Would this be causing my back, leg, and stomach pain.

Brief Answer:
Please upload the report and provide further details.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. I would insist you to upload the report. The provided details is not adequate to form an impression. The term cyst means a hollow structure (filled with a liquid or something else). A solid cyst is therefore an oxymoron. It essentially indicates a tumor but the terminology is confusing. Furthermore whether the size is large depends on which structure it originates from. The tumor could be the cause of your back and leg pain. I am not sure of the stomach pain. Please provide details of the pain and I would try to help.

Let me know if I could help further.

I had A DR appt yesterday and was given the wrong info. That i asked in previous question. Its not adreanal ,Its the adnexal area that has a cystic and solid mass on the right. It measures 4.7 x 3.5cm on the sagittal image. I will try uploading my report. Im unable to get into my ogbyn until the 19thfor vaginal ultrasound. Which is confusing still BC i thought MRI would be a better scan? If it were malignant would this show on MRI ?

Brief Answer:
Corroboration of facts needed.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. If it is malignant it would show certain features on MRI. However, the histopathological evaluation is needed for confirmation.
