Question: Hi inhave had a ct scan of the lungs and it says bronchiolitic infiltrate what does this mean

I can understand your concern.
Bronchiolitic infiltration on CT thorax is mostly seen in infection and /or inflammation of small airways.
Bronchioles are small airways. When these are inflammed it shows infiltration on CT scan.
It is common with viral infection, connective tissue disease (CTD), Atypical bacterial infection, inhalational lung injury etc.
So please let me know
1. What are your symptoms?
2. Do you have fever or joint pain?

Hi had a lung function test which is normal had whooping couch recently and the lung specialist thinks it may be a bug had bronc scooe proceedure but they havent grown anything as yet even i feel unwell infiltrate mainly in upper right lobe bit also lower right lobe and left upper lobe . They are worried about TB i have rhematoid arthritis and have been taking humira and methotrexate also . White vlood cell count is on the low side of normal some raised lymph nodes . Feel like i cant get sny answers

I have gone through the CT report you have attached.
Yes, possibility of tuberculosis is more in your case.
You are on Methotrexate and this can cause immunosuppression in you. And tb is common in immunocompromised patients.
Another possibility is lung involvement in RA.

No fever , i small amount if weight loss 1 or 2 kg in 4 weeks . What is the outlook for rhematoid in lungs , sound bad !

Cough for 8 weeks but is getting better but now feel short of breathe , rhematiod arthritis in remission no drugs at the moment . Had a simalar cough 8 months ago ?

So you had similar episode in the past.
Was it pneumonia?
Did you have tuberculosis in the past?
Which drugs you are taking at present for cough?
Are you taking any antibiotics?
I am asking all these because sometimes resolving infection can give rise to similar picture on CT.
And previous infection (8months) back can also cause similar picture on CT.
