Question: Hi,
I had a tv scan on day 23 and it showed follicle growth at 12mm only. My doc told we need not wait since it is already 23 days and gave dubagest 300 for periods to come.
But till day 42 today periods did not come.
Day 42 tv scan done.
ET 14mm. Pod ++.
What does it mean. Does it mean im pregnant. My doc says it is doubtful as of now. Pls help.

Brief Answer:
Can confirm only after a week.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.

Please let me know a few details.
Generally are your cycles regular, or are they delayed?
If you have delayed and irregular cycles, then sometimes the follicle might grow and rupture even after day 23. In that case, pregnancy might be a possibility. You will know only after a week.
Continue to remain sexually active, and take a repeat transvaginal scan after a week.
All the best.

Please feel free to discuss further.

thank you doc.
yes i was having irregular cycles due to pcod/ hormonal imbalance. last 2 cycles were regular with by taking pills which my doc prescribed.
my worry was doc told follicle was only 12 mm on day 23. if that immature follicle had ruptured would that cause any problem. wat does pod ++ mean. also, at day 42 hcg test kit was negative only.

Brief Answer:
As below

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thank you for the update.
See, an immature follicle would not rupture, only a mature follicle measuring atleast 18 mm, will rupture.
So dont worry about that.
POD ++ means fluid in POD, which is non specific.
It can indicate rupture of follicle, early pregnancy, or an approaching period.
Was the pregnancy test via blood or urine ?

Brief Answer:
As below

Detailed Answer:
Well, it is okay to travel short distances, like, within the city.
But avoid major travel for a week.
Brisk walking and climbing lots of stairs are also best avoided.
Have home cooked food, eat light and drink lots of fluids.
Take folic acid tablets.
Avoid taking any other medication.
IF the pregnancy is confirmed after a week, start progesterone tablets too.
Do not lift heavy weights etc.
