What Does Albuminuria In Urine Test Result Indicate?
Question: Hi, doctors
Please advice me on these values. I was diagnosed with stage 2 chronic kidney disease. My urine CR H is 477.6 and the range is 30-125 mg/dl. So its diagnosed as albumnuria, is that protein? My bun is 15 and Crea is 1.3 mg/dl just in the range of .6-1.3 mg/dl. Out of all these numbers which ones are the more important to focus in on and improving kidney functions.
This was august of last year but my egfr value was 68. My doctor also said i have high blood pressure and this is also damageing my kidney. In your opinion shoud i ask for bp medications at this point, or ask to refer to a nephrologist, for an ultrasound evaluation?

It is extremely important your blood pressure is under optimal control. It would be reasonable for you to visit with a nephrologist for a good focused comprehensive consultation.
XXXXXXX I'll just make consider suggesting an ultrasound of the kidneys. In addition the nephro just may also consider putting you on at least a low-dose blood pressure medicationwhich might help prevent progression of the kidney disease.
Again you have mild chronic kidney disease. It looks like you are very attentive to the needs related to this particular diagnosis. Again I think it would be reasonable if you visited with an Afro just for a comprehensive consultation.

Thank you for your prompt response, its appreciated. So I have mild chronic kidney disease, and this may have occurred with high blood pressure or come kidney disease. I surely want to keep my kidneys stable for the next 30-50 years if that's possible . I'm a little overweight I'm 228p 5'11 and my BP is 135/90. So yes I defiantly need to get more information from the AFro and my primary. I eat health for the most part minimize my salt intake, and try to exercise 3-5 wk. My dad also has High BP so I think it may be a genetic manifold off my existence to be on BP meds. I heard beet juice lowers the BP but let me know your thoughts on that please. Why do I have such a high protein average ? Is it because I eat to much protein or is that part of the progression?

The reason why the protein has been found in the urine is part of the natural progression of chronic kidney disease. If you continue to work on improving your health this might actually improve. Also the kidney specialist might consider putting your medications which may help the blood pressure and they also decrease the amount of protein that you are spilling in the urine.
Regarding beet juice I have not seen any randomized controlled clinical trials which testify to the effectiveness of this particular supplement. I think in reasonable quantities however there is no reason why this is not going to be good for your general health.
I would try to work on gradual weight loss of 20 to 30 pounds which might help actually improve your mental and physical health. It will also have a positive effect on your blood pressure.
I can appreciate that you are fully vested in your General health at this time and I am very confident that with the help of your doctors and possibly the kidney specialist that you will continue to enjoy a very long and healthy life.
