What Do Small Red Sores On Penis Head Indicate?

default
Posted on Mon, 28 Jul 2014
Question: I have some small red sores on my head of my penis. Look as if I was shot with buckshot. They just appeared yesterday after spending the last few days in the pacific ocean. No blisters before the bug bite like sores and they do not itch or have much pain. My last sexual encounter was vaginal sex about 5 weeks ago. She claimed to have been recently tested and had not STD's.

Brief Answer:
Rule out STDs by getting relevant tests.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to HCM,

The sores on head of penis do not appear to be due to sexually transmitted disease (STD).
STD will present with a rash, discharge, itching, lymph node enlargement etc.
However, a screening test for STDs- syphilis (VDRL) and serological tests for gonorrhea and chlamydia can be done to completely rule out STDs.

An insect or any other kind of bite is usually followed by redness (which is present) and itching (which is not present).
Observe the lesions for couple of days.
If they do not disappear, then there is some other cause of these sores.
They could be due to some skin disease and not due to ani insect or buck bite.
In that case I suggest you to consult a skin specialist.

If you have more queries, I would be glad to answer.
