Suggest Treatment For A Bruise On The Elbow
i found a large somewhat uncomfortable bump by my left elbow but had not fallen or anything. I assumed it was some type of bug bite. I took Ibuprofun and the next morning it was gone but now have a large puplish bruise. the bump under the skin was the size of a golf ball.

It is quite common after a blunt trauma.
It is due to extravasated blood underneath the skin. Nothing much to worry and it will settle by itself. As of now you can apply icepacks for faster recovery.
