What Do Small Dry Threads In Stool Indicate?

Question: Trying tofind out if i have apossible parasite. Been tothe doctor a few times & ran blood tests, xrays.Been seeing very small dry threads in stool. Been on garlic

have u done stood for ova and cyst. u can start empirical treatment by tab. albendazole 400mg at bed time

I have had blood tests & xray.
I have asthma & ive been also experiencing some wheezing upon waking & shortness of breath. That is why I went to the doctor to begin with. The only thing he noticed on my xrays where constipated & my blood b12 level was really low. Currenly im on prednisone taper for the asthma/shortness of breath. I also take spriva, dulera, omeprozole, clartind, flonase, orthotri cyclan, and now a b12 vitaman. I have been have some stomach crampingand fullness, along with diarhea & constipation. My pets tested positive for whipworms. I started eating pumpkin seeds with papaya. I notice alot of weird "movement" in my digestive areas after eating & loud noises. I decided to check my stool & upon that i found some very skinny (hairlike) tough dry white/yellow strips. Been finding these on and off for about a week now. I called the nurse and they called my an albenza. I just am weary to take anything with bas side effects, I want someone to tell me yes or no these are parasites. I attached a photo of some i found few days ago. Any help would be great. What are the dangers of taking abenza as well. ( i just stated yesterday swallowing some raw garlic & today i have had diarhea again.)

In my opinion you should first get done stool routine and micro examination. Also look for ova and cyst. This will tell you about parasitic infection is present or not. And tab albenza is albendazole. It is antihelmintic and should be started empirically. Albendazole can cause severe Gastrointestinal upset. So diarrhoea can be due to albendazole. It should be taken after meals.
Prednisolone also cause GI disturbances.

So take good antacids like proton pump inhibitors And drink plenty of fluids.

Here is a photo. My doctor said that test often not accurate. What do you think these are? I keep passing several of them. So yes you think I should start the albenza? Or get a doctor to order that test. Thanks..

I have seen the photograph. I think they are Thread Worms. But you should take this sample to the laboratory and ask the microbiologist about this. And yes you should start with Albendazole. Take it after meals. You can also start ofloxacin and ornidazole combination. Take good antacid like Proton Pump Inhibitors(PPI) and drink plenty of liquids including ORS(Oral Rehydration Solution) and fruit juices. Also avoid outside food, take fully cooked meals only. Avoid frozen items.
