Brief Answer:
Increase free fluid is an indication of ovulation

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,welcome to healthcare magic.
I understand your concern.
Iam Dr.Srilatha gynaecologist.

According to your information the ovulation might have occurred in between the 15th and 17th.

The lifespan of ovum is 12-24 hours.

You might need to be sexually active around these days to increase the chances of conception.

The presence of free fluid before the ovulation might be due to infection or for non specific origin.

But as you have no other signs of infection like fever, pain abdomen, altered vaginal discharge there cannot be infection.

So the free fluid might be non specific.

The decrease in size of dominant follicle and increase in free fluid in ultrasound Indicates ovulation.

Hope this satisfies your query.
Feel free to discuss further.

Best regards....Dr.Srilatha
