What Do My Lab Test Reports Indicate?

Posted on Mon, 9 May 2016
Question: I have 3 "bulging " discs at l3/l4, l4/l5 and l5, s1. the last pinches s1 nerve. Ive uploaded reports on other questions. but this weekend I had 1 episode of bladder incontinence. I was just making the bed and felt it on my feet. also for the last several months I've not been able to feel when I urinate. I have to wait until I can't hear it anymore. I have an appointment set up with my pcp for this my RPT suggested it. was just looking for any ideas of what it could be in the mean time. I'm hoping desperately to avoid back surgery so I'm hoping it's something else. it's not from my kids they are 5-7 and c sections. any help is always appreciated

Hi,
I am Dr Mittal. I have read your message. I think I can help you.
The symptoms of the query are quite suggestive of a possible compression of the spinal cord.
In this the best option is to get the surgery done. In fact get it done as soon as possible. If there is delay even after surgery there will be no response.
Meanwhile, your doctor may try s course of steroids.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information contained in this message will be able to help you find the best solution for your problem. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
