Brief Answer:
Negative test, no worries. wait for periods or induce the periods

Detailed Answer:
Hi, Dr Purushottam Neurgaonkar here . I welcome you to HCM VIRTUAL CLINIC. I have gone gone through your question, and I think I have understood your concern. . I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

1 ) First of all do not panic.

2 ) From your history it appears that you have removed your Copper T after your XXXXXXX month's period.

Your concern about pregnancy after unprotected sex act is absolutely right. As you must be aware that in a woman with regular cycles day 10 to 20 of the cycle is the most fertile period of cycle. And you had unprotected sex in this period.

3 ) As your pregnancy test is negative, then you need not worry about the chance of pregnancy.

4 ) You Can repeat the test after 5 days on morning's first sample of urine.

With negative test result you can simply wait for the onset of periods or induce the periods with progesterone group of tablets, of course you will need a prescription for the same.

I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.

I have done first test 2 days before an second test today itself. its being 10 days from the sex time. can i trust on these pregnancy tests. do these kits gives relevant results. or i have to do test again in some days. Does removal of coper t could be the reason of delaying in periods.

Brief Answer:
test kits are quite ok. least chances of pregnancy.

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Thanks for appreciating the answer and reverting back.

It usually takes around 15 to 20 days after expected date of ovulation or at least 14 days after the sex act, to get comment able results of urine test.

The test kits available in the market are quite reliable in that respect.

It may not be due to removal of Copper T that you are having delayed periods but it can be due delayed or absent egg formation from the ovaries. This can happen occasionally.

If you have history of regular cycles, then 3rd of July, will be day 21 of the cycle . So it will be mostly safe period. There are almost no chance of pregnancy.

I will suggest you to wait patiently, get urine test done after 5 days.
As discussed earlier, with negative test you can simply wait or induce the periods.

I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.
