What Causes Unexplained Lumps In Testicle?

Question: I can feel bumps/ lumps that feel like knots in the tube coming out of my left testicle - testicle itself is smooth. I am 66. Should I ask my doctor to check it or tell her about it ?

It sounds like you may have some cysts or problems in your epididymis. This can be just benign cysts or could be caused by infection so it is best to have your doctor check it just to be sure. If you have pain or fever be seen right away.

I suppose the answer was obvious - why on earth would I not have it checked ? The truth is that I'm a little concerned she might think this is trivial and that I am just looking for attention - especially in that embarrassing area and especially if I were to get unvoluntarily aroused.
