Brief Answer:
Migraine with aura

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your question on HCM

I do understand your concern

With such a presentation in my clinic, I would first rule out migraine by doing a neurological physical examinations and to confirm it from other neurological disorders you need an MRI scan. Regarding treatment I may suggest my patients a preventive medication like [amitriptylne]regularly and you can take few preventive methods like this:

1)Do exercise regularly

2)Avoid those things which triggers migraine and it depends upon person to person only.

3)Try to avoid caffeine, alcohol and tobacco etc

4)Take regular sleep and regular meals in time and manage stress by meditations

5)Try to reduce your weight if you are overweight

6)Do check if hormone triggers your migraine or not and if it is due to it then talk to your Gyn doctor to adjust the dose.

7)Add multivitamin to your diet to compensate nutritional deficit.

Hope that helps

It is not a migraine it's on back of head down to neck. I have an MRI it shows 2 bulging discs but my facet joints on right is completely closed up

Brief Answer:
Need decompression

Detailed answer:

Hi,

Thanks for your follow up reply

I am assuming the bulging disc and facet issues were found on the cervical spine. If not, please correct me in the follow up.

With this new clinical details, perhaps your symptoms are due to your facet joint. So you need physiotherapy for decompression and steroid injection. And if you have already done but no improvement so far then discuss with your neurosurgeon regarding surgical option and it’s prognosis is good.

Hope that helps
