Brief Answer:
seems to be pharyngitis.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having painful throat on nose blowing. I would like to you ask few more details.

Is there any head-ache or nasal obstruction ?
Is there post nasal drip (sinus secretions trickle back into throat) ?

Kindly get back to me with the details.

With the details available, it appears to be early stage of pharyngitis (sore throat) secondary to sinus infections.

Sinusitis causes nasal obstruction, where you tend to breath through mouth leading to drying of mucosa which leads to congestion (sore throat). Post nasal drip also causes pharyngitis with its inflamed secretions.

I suggest you to follow the measures, to overcome painful throat.

1. steam inhalation

2. salt water gargling.

3. anti allergic medication like Tab cetrizine 10mg daily one tab at bed time for couple of days (over the counter).

4. If xylometazoline Nasal decongestant drops is over the counter you can use 3drops/3times each nostril.

5. Stop blowing the nose, stop smoking (if you are smoking).

In persistence of symptoms, needs ent consultation to rule out other causes.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.
