Question: I was told I had thicking of the stomach wall. Did the gastroscope. I was told that I was swollen but nothing to worry about. But they want to do a colonoscopy. What would cause this, and what can I do to make my stomach feel better.
Hi my name is XXXX and what I read about this does not sound good at all.

Brief Answer:
It can be simple gastritis and not necessarily a growth

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic!

Based on the details you have shared, it seems as if the vague explanation put forward to you regarding the report of gastroscopy, has put you in deep concerns. Actually it would have been more helpful if you had shared the report with me so that I can be able to help you in a better way. By mentioning thickening and then reassuring that seems nothing serious can mean inflammation if the wall that is called gastritis rather then considering or assuming any malignant growth so prematurely.

Here are few more details which can help us figure out whether there is something to be concerned about or not. first is that did you experience any recent significant weight loss? Have you tested stool for occult blood? any signs of decreasing hemoglobin in recent past? if no such history is presen, there isn't much to be worried about. You can have these tested before deciding for colonoscopy and meanwhile keep on using pantoprazole. Also you can use sucralfate syrup and motility agents like domperidone or mebeverine.

Hoping you a speedy recovery. If you dont have any more questions, please close the discussion. You can also reach me directly through my profile in future, in case of any more questions, Regards.

Brief Answer:
Clarification of your queries

Detailed Answer:
Hi!
Thanks for the appreciation.

The query you have asked regarding cbcd, that means complete blood count with differentials. That's is a pretty basic test but gives a lot of information regarding hemoglobin, red and white cell count, platelets, cells sizes and their hemoglobin content as well as their shapes. You can take that every third month. Probably they want to track down any signs of drop in hemoglobin or signs of infection in your case.

Hope this has answered your query. If you dont have any more questions, please close the discussion. You can also reach me directly through my profile in future, in case of any more queries.

Regards.
