Question: I'm really not sure where to turn...but I don't want to go to a million Doctors to try and figure out what is wrong with me. So I'm hoping this will help. I'm 46 years old...I was diagnosed with an enlarged left ventricle back in 2001. Since then I've had two situations where I passed out, with the last time the EMT couldn't find my pulse for a bit, but the EKG, Stress test came back fine. I stay very tired, continue to gain weight and cannot lose no matter what I try, I cant walk even to exercise because I seem to not have enough oxygen, my hands go numb and itch. My lower legs stay swollen and tight. I had a dream I passed away at 59 years old from Cardiac Arrest...It really has me scared..

Brief Answer:
Go to a cardiologist

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
This is Dr Sameer, cardiologist.
The scenario & whole case history you told is really a serious thing. You need to see a cardiologist soon & started on some medications.
First you need to do a 2D Echo. I expect that your heart function(LVEF) is low causing arrhythmias like the one you had when the EMT could not find your pulse. It is a very very serious condition & life threatening if not treated immediately.
You also looks currently in CHF(as you said you have breathing difficulty & swelling of feets.
So go to a cardiologist soon & start the medicines.
Wishing you good health.

Brief Answer:
Thanks

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Take care to yourself. Till you meet a cardiologist take a 40mg of lasix(furosemide) which will keep you well. It will remove the fluid through increased urination.
Thanks
